Use and care
Follow the packet and holder instructions. Use a stable, heat-resistant setup that catches ash, with clearance from anything flammable. Keep burning incense attended, out of reach of children and pets, and away from drafts. Extinguish it before leaving or sleeping; wait until everything is cold before moving it or disposing of ash.
Burning incense produces smoke. The EPA recommends ventilation when burning incense indoors. For fire precautions, see the CFA incense-safety guidance. Do not use incense to clean the air or as a health treatment.
